The City Lines Of The Lehigh Valley Transit Company – 1947-1951

New For 2011! This new 2 disc set includes over 110 minutes of nonstop trolley action captured by Gerhard Salomon on Lehigh Valley Transit’s city lines in Allentown, Bethlehem and other nearby communities from 1947 to 1951. Most of the various classes of passenger equipment in use at the time are included. Footage featuring work and freight equipment is also showcased. Both discs include relevant historic route maps and narration throughout.

Canron Mark 2 Tamper In Action at the Museum (Video)

In March, 2008, a Canron Mark 2 tamper was added to the Museum’s stable of work equipment to enable more ties to be replaced in the annual track rebuilding projects. Following is a video of the Canron Mark 2 Tamper in action at the Rockhill Trolley Museum on April 30, 2011.

NJT PCC #6 Press Release

The Rockhill Trolley Museum is happy to announce the acquisition of former New Jersey Transit/Transport New Jersey/Public Service Coordinated Transport PCC Car #6. This historic car was acquired from New Jersey Transit via the Friends of the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center for preservation, display, and public operation at the museum’s location in the Allegheny Mountains of south-central Pennsylvania.
