This spring's track project is a ground up reconstruction of about 400 feet of the running track. Once the rail and old ties have been removed, both a Bobcat model 331 excavator and a 1952 Cletrac model HG42 mini dozer were pressed into service to clear the old dirt "ballast" and prepare the right of way for new ties and relaid rail.
